Ian joined HWFC at the end of October 2008. He is a UEFA-A (pro Licence) qualified Coach, and an FA qualified Referee.

He has played, coached or managed teams at Civil Service and Old Westminster Citizens in the Southern Amateur League. He also coached teams in Morecambe and Blackpool . He has won 8 league titles in 11 years with 5 AFA Cup runner ups. He has won many internal club honours including clubman of the year twice at the Civil Service.

He has been involved in organising coaching courses and referee courses and was awarded the FA Workforce award for services to football in 2006 & again in 2008.

As well as HWFC, Ian currently coaches 8 Alexandra Park teams (playing for one of them) and Dulwich Hamlet SFC.
