Hampstead Women FC play in the FA Greater London North Division 1 - just 4 leagues below the Premier League. Established in 1997, HWFC has grown over 13 years from a group of friends playing in a park in NW3, into a strong squad of women playing dynamic, fast and flowing football.
The manager is an FA qualified coach (as are some of the players) and has been coaching the team for the last 5 years. Our Head Coach is UEFA-A (pro-licence) qualified and has been honoured by the FA for services to grass-roots football. The club has been awarded the Charter Standard by the FA in recognition of the excellent setup now in place.
HWFC prides itself on its fun, friendly and welcoming atmosphere, and we always welcome participation from anyone who wants to get involved in football and be a part of an exciting and enjoyable club, both on the field and socially. However following a very successful 09-10 season that saw our league unbeaten run stretch until the penultimate game of the season, the first XI is now of a very high standard. We play to win and can only cater for capable, experienced players, who can compete for a place in the team from the off.
After scoring 96 goals in 27 games last season, winning promotion and just missing out on a league and cup double, the club is moving from strength to strength. We have 16 ladies signed in the squad for the new season, with an age range of 16 to 32, and we are looking to increase numbers slightly further - now is a great time to come and check us out… Click on the 'Contact Us' link to the left, and get in touch for more details on training over the summer... |
