Hampstead Women FC play in the FA Greater London North Division 2 - just 5 leagues below the Premier League. Established in 1997, HWFC has grown over 12 years from a group of friends playing in a park in NW3, into a strong squad of women playing dynamic, fast and flowing football. The 08-09 season saw 35 ladies in the squad, with an age range of 16 to 32. The manager is an FA qualified coach (as are some of the players) and has been coaching the team for the last 4 years. Our Head Coach is UEFA B qualified and has been honoured by the FA for services to grass-roots football.

The club prides itself on its fun, friendly and welcoming atmosphere.  Although we play to win and the first XI is of a high standard, training is always aimed to cater for all levels of player skill. We always welcome participation from anyone who wants to get involved in football and be a part of an exciting and enjoyable club, both on the field and socially.

With 15 girls signed on for another year, HWFC is about to start a recruitment drive to try and increase numbers for the start of the 09-10 FA Season. Over the summer we will be doing some very light training on Hampstead Heath, and playing some fun games in the sun, before we start our pre-season training schedule at the end of July.
